I used this panel to wire up 4 speakers and a stereo line link to another amp upstairs (so everything is sourced from one place). This was the only panel I found that had *TWO* RCA phono plugs (labeled Sub and Aux), which I used for Right and Left lines up to the other panel upstairs.

The WPI-5.1 is the ideal accessory to finish off your home theater. This simple to use wall plate allows for all speaker wires to be run within the walls for a clean professional look. The contemporary Decora® style features gold plated binding posts for each speaker and offers unique dual RCA jacks for multiple subwoofers. The inserts are labeled for each speaker location and correlate to most home audio receivers. Fits in a standard 2 gang electrical box. Kit includes: Decora® wall plate, 2 labeled Decora® inserts, 10 gold plated binding posts (5 red/5 black), 2 gold plated RCA jacks and all mounting hardware.

It works fine – as any metal connector will. Getting it to look nice on your wall is a bit of a challenge. Each gang has metal reinforcements on the screw holes, and the included screws didn’t fit in very well. I had to resort to rather forceful measures. Of course, it’s behind furniture anyway, so be it.

Anyhow, it serves it’s purpose. I’d give it 5 stars if it were a little more innovative than the alternative solutions.

No dangling wires sticking out of sheetrock. Now I have a VERY professional looking installation of the many speaker wires for my 5.1 surround system.

Saved a few bucks on this, but it seems to be of good quality and looks quite nice. There was a little extra time for manually putting the pieces all together, but I still enjoy that. If you’re going to splurge, get yourself some banana plugs though for quick and easy cable swapping.
